Clematis

Clematis are either climbing plants from 30cm to several meters in height or spread, but some are a shrubby  ground covering plant.

Climbing varieties will cover fences with beautiful blooms in a range of colours, mainly from March to October and are classed as deciduous. There are a few winter flowering evergreen varieties like Jingle Bells that will flower in the depth of winter.

Plant with the roots in the shade and the flowers will find the sun. Provide a support that the plant can twist around and climb up, Feed with a liquid seaweed base feed in the flowering season.
